SPW (Optional)

SPW is a three letter acronym for "Spots Per Week" and provides a "short-cut" for entering number of units (spots) on a "per week" basis. When creating a SPW based line item, a new field for the number of units (spots) per week and the M-Su fields are transformed to check boxes so that you can specify what days of the week will be utilized to spread the units across the week. The Skip Weeks field provides an easy means to generate a pattern for the first scheduled week and skip x week(s) before repeating the specified pattern. The summary below this section displays the total number of units (spots) and the revenue associated based on the line item Rate.

The "scheduling" of these units (spots) is done evenly starting on the first day of the week and forward. If there are not enough units (spots) to place evenly across all configured days, the left-over ones are placed evenly starting on the first specified day of the week until they run out.

CS I recommend only using the SPW option (see Group) if you are currently accustomed to regularly selling packages to your clients using a "spots per week" style. Although there are deep internal differences between SPW and Weekly; effectively they are identical in the fact that they are still both "per week". I believe the Weekly option is superior because it affords you complete control over how the pattern will be determined and there is no "fuzzy logic"; it's clear, concise and easy to follow.
