Orders
<div id="Text"> [documentation2|back] ==Orders== [image||{UP}Orders%2forders_window.png] This is where you place spot orders and non-spot revenue orders for all customers. ===Layout=== Across the top you have the main menu providing access to various tools that can be applied to one or more orders. On the left hand side you have the customer list pane. On the right hand side you have the order list pane. As part of the order list pane, there are a couple of quick action buttons that allow you to create a new [Order] and close the orders window. ===Main Menu=== *'''File''' **'''Close'''{br}This closes the orders window.{br}{br} *'''View''' **'''Pending Orders'''{br}Orders that have been placed within the system by salespeople or other station staff that have not yet been approved for airing. Traffic/Sales managers will want to check this option multiple times daily for turned in orders that need approval.{br}{br} **'''Make Goods'''{br}This report provides a list of all commercials that have been bumped from your logs. In addition to customer, salesperson and run dates the report shows total revenue of the bumped spots and the total count of bumped spots.{br}{br}From this list you have the option of trashing any spots you do not wish to make good. Check the box in the "dismiss" column next to the spots you wish to eliminate and then click the "trash" button that will appear in the bottom left corner of the screen.{br}{br}Note: This will remove ALL the make good spots. If you want to run some but not all of the spots in the list, do not use the trash option in this report.{br}{br} *'''Tools''' **'''Assign Orders'''{br}Allows you to make a mass transfer of individual orders from one salesperson to another. This is very useful when more than one salesperson is working an individual account.{br}{br} **'''Assign Customers'''{br}Allows you to make a mass transfer of accounts from one salesperson to another. This is very useful when a new salesperson joins your team and you wish to seed their account list or a salesperson leaves and you need to reassign their account list to other salespeople.{br} ===Customer Pane=== You may edit customer details either in the Orders window or Administration window. To do so, you can double click on any existing customer to open the [Customer] edit dialog. <center>[image||{UP}Orders%2forders_customer_context.png]</center> ====Open==== You can also open the [Customer] edit dialog by selecting the Open menu item contained on the context menu (accessed by right clicking on a [Customer]). ====New==== You can create a new [Customer] by selecting the New menu item. ====Make Good==== The Make Good... menu item presents a dialog that displays the outstanding make good spots associated with the selected customer. ===Order List Pane=== The order list pane contains a list of all of the existing orders related to the currently selected customer (in the customer list pane). You can interact with each individual order by launching tools from the associated context menu (accessed by right clicking on the order). <center>[image||{UP}Orders%2forders_orderlist_context.png]</center> ====Open==== Selecting the Open menu item from the context menu, you can view/modify an existing [Order]. You can also double click on the [Order] to view/modify accordingly. ====New==== The New menu item initiates the process of creating a new [Order]. This can also be accomplished by clicking the New button located in the bottom left hand portion of the order list pane. ====New from Package==== An [Order] can be remembered as a [Package] for future use or package billing. Selecting New from Package provides a means to create a new [Order] using a previously remembered [Package]. ====Duplicate==== There are some instances where you may not want to create a [Package] from and [Order], yet still want to duplicate an existing [Order]. The Duplicate menu provides a quick means to duplicate an existing [Order]. ====Create Package==== As mentioned previously, it's possible to create a [Package] from an existing [Order] so that it can be reused when creating a new [Order]. By using the Create Package menu item, this initiates the process of creating a [Package] from an existing [Order]. ====Print==== Provides a means to print an [Order]. ====Print Preview==== Allows you to preview what would be printed as well as a host of other options such as exporting the generated document. ====View History==== RT tracks user actions and other activities on an [Order]-by-[Order] basis. View History allows you to view this activity. ====Delete==== (Global Administrator) Provides a means to delete an order. </div> <DIV class=transcludedpage> <div id="Side">{toc} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} {br} </div> </div> <SCRIPT type=text/javascript> var navItem = document.getElementById('ManualTab'); navItem.className = 'active'; </SCRIPT>
